Encrypted on your devices

Your vault data is encrypted before it leaves your device. The sync service stores encrypted data.

You hold the keys

Your master password and Account Secret protect your vault. Keep your Emergency Kit somewhere safe.

How OctSec protects your vault

Your account sign-in verifies who you are. Your master password and Account Secret unlock the encrypted vault on your device. These are separate protections.

New devices may require approval from a device you already trust. Once your vault is on a device, you can use it offline. A local vault requires no online account; you can transfer data using encrypted exports.

Keep a copy of your Emergency Kit outside OctSec. Account password recovery does not replace your vault's encryption credentials.

OctSec is currently in development. Public release remains subject to security review and real-device validation.
